Q: What is the ordering process ?
A: First of all please fill in the contact form on my website then I can provide you with a quote. If you are happy with my quote and you would like to proceed with a consultation just let me know some dates that suit you, I'm based in Willunga and available by appointment only any day during the week and Saturday mornings. When you are happy to go ahead with your order I will send you an itemised copy of your cake details to check over and confirm.
Q: Do you offer tasting ?
A: I offer complimentary tasting samples with your consultation.
Q: Is a consultation necessary?
A: If distance or time is an issue I am happy to organise your wedding cake via emails.
Q: Do you require a deposit ?
A: A $100 booking fee is required to hold the date and the balance is due two weeks before the event.
Q: How much notice do I need to give for an order?
A: I take orders up to 12 months in advance. At least two months notice is preferable especially during wedding season however I will be happy to accommodate last minute orders where possible. Orders are taken on a “first come first served” basis.
Q: How much is delivery?
A: Charges vary depending on location. As a guide the cost is $30 in the CBD on Saturdays ($80 on Sundays and public holidays)
Free delivery in McLaren Vale on orders over $200 Elsewhere around $60 ($80 on Sunday and public holidays) Delivery is generally between 10am and 2pm, I cannot guarantee delivery at a specific time as I often have a number of deliveries on the same day.
Q: Does it cost more for multiple flavours ?
A: There is no extra charge for a different flavour per tier. All flavours are the same price except for traditional fruitcake which is extra.
Q: Do you provide slab cakes ?
A: Slab/kitchen cakes are available to make up extra portions. Dessert - $2.00 Coffee - $1.00
Q: Can you design a cake from my own ideas ?
A: Absolutely, there is nothing I like more than the challenge of creating something new. Send me your idea, photo, no of guests, dessert or coffee portions, venue and date I will be happy to provide you with a quote .
Q: Can I use fresh flowers on my cake?
A: The customer is responsible for ensuring flowers are safe and non toxic and delivered to me the day before. Application cost from $30
Q: Can I make regular payments ?
A: it is preferable that the balance is paid in one payment however If you wish to make payment instalments please ensure the minimum is $100. Please send me an email when a payment has been made so I can keep track, thanks.
Q: Do dummy tiers save on cost?
A: Dummy tiers can be provided to make your cake look bigger which is great for large venues however most of the cost is the time involved in assembling, icing and decorating the cake.
Q: Do you cater for dietary requirements?
A: Yes I provide vegan, dairy free, gluten free option please be advised that cakes are baked in an environment where gluten, eggs, dairy and nuts are present. Angel Wedding Cakes is a licensed and registered business with an approved kitchen.
